Take a Tour Guided Tours & Group Tours Available
About the Tour
Guests will receive a guided tour of all three floors (mobility permitting) of the Lapham-Patterson House and learn about the residents, architecture, and technology of the 1885 Resort Era “cottage.” Currently, tours are limited to 10 guests per hour. Masks are required. Tours begin at the top of the hour.
Closures: When planning your visit, please visit our Upcoming Events page for any conflicts. The Lapham-Patterson House is available for special event rentals which occasionally require the museum to close to the public.
Museums for All: We are proud to participate in the Museums for All program, a cooperative initiative between the IMLS and Association of Children’s Museums that encourages families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build life-long museum habits. To receive discounted admission, individuals and families must: present a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, and a valid form of photo ID upon admission. Benefits extend to up to 4 people per card.
Free Days: The Thomasville History Center often participates in national free or reduced admission programs such as Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Live and the Blue Star Museum Program (free admission for active duty military and their families). Please check our calendar of events for a list of upcoming free days. Some of these programs may require advanced registration.
