We are gearing up for another amazing summer of crafts, games, and interactive fun at Camp Dawson, hosted by the Thomasville History Center. For more than twenty years, campers have gotten “hands-on” with history at our annual camps and we look forward to another summer of adventure!
Join us for 5 fun and adventure-filled days of museum learning. Open to campers in rising 5th through rising 8th Grade. Each group will experience age-appropriate activities using the History Center’s backyard and eight historic structures as our “classroom.” Every day brings new adventures as we explore Thomasville’s history from 12,000 years ago through the 21st century. Campers will also enjoy excursions out in the community on their journey through the past.
Note: Camp registration does not include lunch, only snacks. Please be as detailed as possible in the “things we should know” section as it helps us to best prepare for your camper and offer a positive experience for everyone. Things we like to know may include: camper may struggle with transitions, camper is sensitive to heat and needs frequent water reminders, etc.
