Crate to Plate

Crate to Plate is one of the Thomasville History Center’s most important annual fundraisers, providing vital support for the programs, collections, historic buildings, and community experiences that help us preserve and share the history of Thomas County.

October 1, 2026

Red, White, & Blueberry

In a year marking both America’s 250th and Thomasville’s 200th anniversaries, Crate to Plate 2026 celebrates the people, places, and plates that define our community.

Join us for an evening of local flavor, live music, and fellowship on the Thomasville History Center grounds. Each crate serves two and includes a locally inspired meal, wine, special take-home additions, and a quality reusable crate/cooler.

Guests may pick up their crates to enjoy at home or stay for the evening. Open seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a cash bar will be available. Reserved tent seating and open bar access are available for sponsors.

Crates are now available for purchase. Advance orders are required, and quantities are limited.

What’s in Your Crate?

Each Crate to Plate order is designed for two and features a generous meal, wine or lemonade, and special touches packaged together for an easy and enjoyable evening on the History Center grounds or at home.

This year’s Red, White, & Blueberry menu brings together barbecue favorites, seasonal flavors, and a sweet blueberry finish.

Silent Auction

Don’t miss this year’s Crate to Plate Silent Auction!

Thanks to the generosity of businesses, attractions, restaurants, cultural organizations, and friends from Thomasville and across the region, this year’s auction features more than $9,000 in total fair market value.

Guests can bid on an exciting collection of experiences, getaways, dining, entertainment, family activities, and one-of-a-kind packages throughout the evening. All proceeds directly support the Thomasville History Center.

The Silent Auction is open to all Crate to Plate guests.

What to Wear

Crate to Plate is a relaxed outdoor event, so casual or smart-casual attire is perfect. Comfortable shoes are recommended, especially for walking across the History Center grounds.

Picking Up a Crate

To-go crate pickup is available from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

As you approach the History Center heading north on Dawson Street, turn left onto Webster Street, then right onto Crawford Street and right onto Jerger Street. Follow event signs and volunteers to the pickup location.

2026 Crate to Plate Sponsors

Crate to Plate would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. We are grateful to the businesses, organizations, and individuals whose support helps make this special evening possible while advancing the work of the Thomasville History Center.
