Halloween in the Historic Neighborhood
A Thomasville History Center Annual Tradition
Each fall, the Thomasville History Center invites families to celebrate Halloween with us at Halloween in the Historic Neighborhood, a free, family-friendly evening of trick-or-treating, activities, costumes, stories, and Halloween fun across our historic campus.
The “Historic Neighborhood” comes to life among the collection of historic buildings that make up the History Center campus. Families can make their way from building to building while enjoying treats, activities, and special experiences provided by the History Center and participating community organizations.
What began as a History Center tradition has grown into a collaborative community celebration. Each year, we invite local museums, cultural organizations, nonprofits, civic groups, businesses, and other community partners to join us in creating a fun and welcoming Halloween experience for children and families.
Participating organizations bring their own personality to the evening with candy, games, activities, storytelling, and other surprises. Together, they help fill our historic campus with activity while giving families a chance to connect with many of the organizations that serve Thomasville and Thomas County.
Costumes are encouraged, and admission is free.
What to Expect

- A festive evening among the historic buildings of the History Center
Spooky Story Time with The Bookshelf
Gather around for a special Halloween Story Time with Annie from The Bookshelf, with two readings offered during the evening:
- 5:30 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m.

Admission is free and no registration is required.
