The History Center is a small but active non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Thomasville, Thomas County, and the Red Hills region. Our work includes historic site interpretation, collections care, educational programming, exhibitions, public events, visitor services, and stewardship of the Lapham-Patterson House.

Our team works collaboratively across a three-acre historic campus, eight historic structures, and a collection of more than 500,000 items. We value curiosity, professionalism, hospitality, and a commitment to helping people connect with local history in meaningful ways.
