We’re Commemorating 200 years of Thomas County!
Working alongside the Thomas County Board of Commissioners, the Thomasville History Center is hosting “An Act”: A Commemorative Reading of “An Act to Create Two New Counties,” the Foundational Document Signed 200 Years Ago to Create Thomas County. This event is free and open to the public.
Join us as we explore the past 200 years of Thomas County’s history. We’ll have artifacts on display for guests to discover, a slideshow full of images showcasing our community’s past, a performance of the founding document, Bicentennial Memorabilia, and so much more! Guests are encouraged to join in the fun by participating in the reading and interacting with costumed interpreters.
Be part of this historic evening as we look back on the last 200 years and look forward to the community’s future!
