With a collection of over 500,000 items and a three-acre campus that contains eight historic structures (including the Lapham-Patterson House), we never run out of things for people to help with.

With your help, we can continue to preserve our past and inspire our future!

Membership dues comprise 15% of our operating budget, and they are augmented through a generous grant that affords us $1 for every $2 that we can raise; these funds are integral to our ongoing work.

Reciprocal membership benefits such as free or reduced admission and gift shop discounts at institutions across the region and nation through our partnership with SERM and NARM. (See below for details).

General Gift

General Gift

Undesignated donations benefit the day-to-day operations of the Thomasville History Center and are the contributions that “keep the lights on.” The benefits of contributions to this fund can be seen across our entire campus.
Designated Gift

Designated Gift

Designated donations benefit the special projects of the Thomasville History Center such as specialty collections care, youth programs, public outreach, and more. The benefits of contributions to this fund are most visible in the conservation of artifacts such as the 1916 American LaFrance Fire Engine and our annual youth camps.
Operating Endowment

Operating Endowment

Donations to the Operating Endowment are invested for the long-term sustainability of the Thomasville History Center. The fund is grown and managed by the Community Foundation of South Georgia and withdrawals are made sparingly. Earned interest is reinvested in the ongoing operations of the History Center each year.
Buildings & Grounds Endowment

Buildings & Grounds Endowment

Donations to the Buildings & Grounds Endowment are invested for the long-term sustainability of the physical structures and property at the Thomasville History Center. With eight historic structures under our care, it takes a great deal of time, energy, and funding to ensure the long-term preservation of these vital collections items.
Lapham-Patterson House Fund

Lapham-Patterson House Fund

The Thomasville History Center manages the Lapham-Patterson House for the State of Georgia under a concession agreement. With that stewardship comes the care and preservation of the home for future generations. Help us to preserve and care for one of Thomasville’s great Resort Era gems.
Honorariums & Memorials

Honorariums & Memorials

Honor the life and memory of a loved one or friend through honorariums or memorials. These funds can be designated for special projects or operations. Family members of the deceased or those honored themselves will receive notice of your gift.
