Youth Camps
The Thomasville History Center’s camps bring history to life for rising 1st Graders through rising 8th Graders each summer. Each day brings new adventures and a little museum mischief as we explore the history, people, and stories of our community.
Camp Dawson Jr.
Camp Dawson Jr.’s inaugural session is designed for our younger campers with developmentally appropriate activities for rising first graders through rising 4th graders. The History Center’s historic campus will provide the background for a week-long exploration of Thomasville’s rich past.
Campers will get hands-on with history, gaining new skills through historic crafts and arts, “meeting” people of the past, and much more while they explore the evolution of our community.
Registration opens January 9, 2026. The link will be posted here.
Enroll early as Camp Dawson Jr. is limited to 30 campers.
