About the Event

Join us March 18 for a pop-up exhibit! This one-day-only event is free to the public. See artifacts freshly unearthed from the “Senet Hadjo’s Town” Site in Miccosukee, a site that saw the convergence of Indigenous and European culture. The exhibit will be open from 1-3pm.

The “Senet Hadjo’s Town” excavation site lies on private property in Miccosukee, Florida.  Dating back to the 18th century, the site was along the boarder lands of the Miccosukee people and the various European groups that settled our region.

Artifacts on display range from pottery to jewelry to glass tools. The land owner has generously agreed to let the History Center share some of these finds with our membership. Members of the dig team will be available for questions and discussion.
