The Thomasville History Center is getting in on the celebrations to mark the centennial Rose Show & Festival this April 22-24. Although we are still completing the final touches on our new exhibitions at the History Center, we will open the doors of the front of the museum for a special exhibition of Rose Queen gowns, and other Rose Festival items from our collections. Our grounds and historic buildings will be open for self-guided tours each day from 10am until 4pm. A donation of $5 per person is greatly appreciated.
Download our special Rose Show centennial activity sheet at thomasvillehistory.org/athome which includes activities for young learners to explore the history of the Rose Show & Festival and instructions for easy at-home rose crafts! This activity sheet is available free of charge.
The Lapham-Patterson House will be open for tours on Friday (1pm, 2pm, and 3pm) and Saturday (10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm). Reservations are not required but guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before the tour start time, as the capacity of each tour is limited to 10.
