The Thomasville History Center opened the doors to the museum located within the historic Flowers-Roberts House in 1972. In the fifty years since the museum’s collection has grown to include more than 500,000 artifacts and countless archival materials. The property at 725 N. Dawson Street now features eight historic structures that are open to visitors and community members six days a week.

In honor of that milestone anniversary, the Thomasville History Center invites you to a special party where we will celebrate the museum’s anniversary and take a look back at 1972. All are welcome to join us for a fun evening we’re calling, “We’ve only just begun….”

Reservations are available now for the event, which will be held on the grounds of the History Center.

Guests can expect heavy hors-d’œuvres, beer, wine, a special trivia game, and some groovy tunes!

Do not forget to B.Y.O.L.P- or bring your own LP’s! We will have a record player spinning the greatest hits of the 1970s and you are welcome to add your favorites to the soundtrack.

Come as you were (or would have been); dress as the “you of 1972” or in your vintage 70’s best.
